How to Make Your Netbook into a Portable Productivity Machine
The best feature of the netbook is its portability. Your netbook can be taken everywhere. The nice thing about netbooks is that they are powerful enough to handle most office related productivity tasks like email, word processing, spreadsheets, etc. The key is to get a capable netbook and then set it up to be a portable productivity machine.

Things You'll Need:
· Netbook
1. Step 1
The first thing you have to do is buy a decent netbook. Make sure your
netbook has an Intel Atom processor, 1 GB of RAM, and a 10" screen.
These are standard netbook specs. I recommend getting buying an Acer
Aspire One or Asus Eee. These netbooks are the most solid.
2. Step 2
Once bought you can begin to modify your netbook. The first thing I'd
do is download the Open Office Suite. This will allow you to do word
processing, spreadsheets, and presentations. It's also free.
3. Step 3
Also make sure to setup a good web based email service like Gmail or
Yahoo! Mail. These apps have lots of features and will make organizing
your work easier.
4. Step 4
You should also consider putting a fast browser on your netbook. I
recommend Firefox.
5. Step 5
For those who use VoIP, you can download Sykpe and bring it everywhere.
6. Step 6
To be especially productive you probably should consider getting a
mouse. It makes navigating your netbook much easier.
